How to Make a Word Art in Silhouette Studio

I've been asked more than a few times how to make word art in Silhouette Studio.   Text to Path is the easiest way to brand word fine art - simply it'south pretty basic.  You can go effectually a shape like here and hither.   And so you can make things like these circle monograms by adjusting edit points and stretching.  Merely what if you want to make more involved word art? Well, I  have a little hack for you today.

The first matter y'all desire to do is open upwards Powerpoint. Yeah, the program for presentations.  If yous don't accept Powerpoint on your computer, you can get a free i calendar month trial here.

Using the text tool type out your text.

Now click on toolbox and then you get the formatting window (you must have your word selected to get the tool box to open).  Well-nigh one-half style downwards you lot'll run across 'Quick Styles and Effects." Click on that..then click on the 'abc' tab.  (I hope I didn't lose y'all!)

Now but choice an effect. All of the effects tin can be made more dramatic past dragging the petty regal dot that appears on the word art word.

SIDE NOTE: If you have several words, like I do in this case, and you traced it all as one big blueprint, you'll have to divide them by ungrouping.  I would suggest you ungroup and and then get through each give-and-take individually and 'Make Compound Path'.  If you don't - all the letter counters (like the middle office of the eastward, a...) will non be grouped with the letters.

Now yous can simply cut your word fine art like you lot would any other design.  Don't forget if you're using world art with HTV, you'll need to flip it.
